Philosophy, love, war, science, the environment and unforgettable stories are the calling cards of the 2012 Melbourne Writers Festival. The 11-day program is crowded with over 350 of the world’s leading writers, thinkers, illustrators and performers.

With over 300 events, this year’s festival program features an enormous range of literary activity with up to a third of all events free.
Festival guests come from countries including Australia, France, Ireland, the United States, India, England, Sweden, Lebanon, and Nigeria, to make up the great living library that is the 2012 Melbourne Writers Festival.

Join us to hear tales of the darkest dreams, of redemption and love, stories to make you laugh out loud and to reflect deeply.
