Ipswich Sports House will establish a team of dedicated sport and recreation specialists (Sport and Recreation Officers) to work directly in the sport and recreation community. These officers will work at the Association and Club levels to assist in building capacity to ensure the long term viability and sustainability of sport and recreation delivery across Ipswich. The team will be supported by an education and training program targeting identified community needs.
AIM Develop an independent facility that will primarily provide integrated support and advisory services supported by education and training programs to the Ipswich Sport and Recreation Community.

- Ensure the long term viability, sustainability and growth of Ipswich’s Sport and Recreation Sector through increased management capability of sport and recreation organizations.
- Increase investment in and resourcing of the local Sport and Recreation Sector.
- Increased participation in activity across the local Sport and Recreation Sector.
OUR SERVICES To provide direct access to;
- A professional dedicated team of “on the ground” Field Officers experienced in developing Sport and Recreation organisations in the areas of planning, management, programming, governance, volunteer management and marketing resulting in; a. Production and implementation of Operational and Strategic Plans to grow business and participation b. Increased managerial and business skills through one on one training programs c. Increase efficiency in running the organisation (saving volunteers time)
- Locally tailored Education and Training Program to deliver skill and quality improvement within sport and recreation organisations in the areas of administration, business development, marketing, club governance, athlete development, programming and planning.
- Office Accommodation, meeting spaces and secretarial services through physical office space within the Ipswich Sports House.
- Consulting services to assist with writing grants, business plans, project/event management, fundraising and functions.
- Advocate the benefits of investing in the Ipswich Sport and Recreation community to key stakeholders such as State Sporting Organisations, State Government and Ipswich City Council.
